Why I give and partner with World Vision

When I started out 5 years ago on this journey of owning my own business, I wanted to do something beyond just providing a service to my clients.  I wanted to make an impact beyond myself and beyond just writing a check.   When I moved to Chicago I opened business and decided that I would donate 10% of the proceeds from my clients orders to World Vision.  My first year I was happy to write a check off to World Vision.   That same year my family and I decided to begin supporting two little girls through World Vision's sponsorship program.  We have enjoyed writing to them, sending them packets of stickers hoping that whatever we send will bring a smile to their face knowing someone is thinking of them.  We have received notes back from them- actually mostly pictures because they are just learning to write and read.    What I love about World Vision is that they are working specifically within communities to help them with resources and to re-build from the inside out.  They respond to crisis needs both here locally in Chicago and are some of the first responders in global disasters.  You can learn more about this wonderful organization by clicking here.

This December I hope that you will help me by buying someone or yourself a gift certificate during the month of December and 50% of the purchased amount will be donated to benefit World Vision.

For example if you purchase a $50 gift certificate- I will donate $25 to World Vision

Please help me make a wonderful donation to World Vision for all they do to help children hope for their future.

Happy Holidays,

Becky

Sweet, Sweet Baby: Western Suburbs Newborn Session (Chicago, IL)

This is the final session of a special maternity + newborn session package.  I will be writing a special blog when I put all the sessions together- but mom will have to wait a bit longer for that so I thought I would publish some of my favorites from our most recent session.   xx 00- Becky

Boutique Wedding Ceremony: Suzzette's Creperie (Wheaton, IL)

I am honored to photograph weddings and only take on a few each year.  I love small boutique weddings because I feel like you have a chance to get to know the couple you are photographing. The pacing seems to be more relaxed and generally you can capture some pretty neat moments when you are in a smaller space.  Suzzette's Creperie located in downtown Wheaton, IL provided the catering and had an excellent staff to work with before, during and after the ceremony. The cake was done in house by Pastry Chef Jen and the flowers were provided by Winfield Florist.  Chris and Kelly I wish you all the best.  Thanks for letting me be a part of such a special moment in your lives.  Blessing on your new marriage and family.  - Becky

Family Portrait Session: Chicago, IL

What can I say...he is so cute!  I love it when I'm on-location you get to document a fun piece like the mom's rocking horse. What a beautiful shot with her son enjoying his new toy. We also took off the Horner Park, which is on the northern side of Chicago to photograph the rest of our family portrait session.  Hope you enjoy these-please leave comments and let me know what you think. -Cheers
